Unit Overview

Lesson 1: Qq, Jj
Students start with learning the letters Q and J. Activities include speaking exercises about daily activities, multiple choice questions to identify objects, and a fun asteroid game.

Lesson 2: Xx, Yy, Zz
This lesson focuses on the letters X, Y, and Z. Students engage in speaking exercises, multiple choice questions, and an asteroid game to reinforce their learning.

Lesson 3: The Home
Students are introduced to the different rooms in a house. They learn through speaking exercises, a dragging activity to build a classroom, and reading exercises that describe various activities in different rooms.

Lesson 4: In The House
This lesson expands on vocabulary related to items found in different rooms of a house. Students practice using these words in sentences and through true or false activities.

Lesson 5: Letter Review
A review of the letters and sounds learned so far. Students match words with pictures, complete space junk sentences, and practice short vowel sounds.

Lesson 6: Prepositions
Students learn about prepositions and how to describe the location of objects. Activities include speaking exercises, review of the “to be” verb, and dragging activities to build different rooms in a house.

Lesson 7: G vs. J
This lesson focuses on distinguishing between the sounds of G and J. Students play an asteroid game, practice listening and spelling, and review the “to be” verb through multiple choice questions.

Lesson 8: Y as a Vowel
Students learn how Y can function as a vowel, making long I and long E sounds. Activities include asteroid games, space junk sentences, and multiple choice questions to reinforce learning.

Lesson 9: Prepositions #2
A continuation of the prepositions lesson. Students practice using prepositions in various contexts, review the Magic E concept, and complete dragging activities to reinforce their understanding.

Lesson 10: Review #1
A comprehensive review of the unit. Students revisit prepositions, the Magic E concept, and vocabulary related to the home through interactive activities and multiple choice questions.
